Viewer Review: Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturizing Lotion – Fragrance Free

aveeno1.jpg

When it comes to moisturizing, I have three strikes against me. I live in a climate that features very cold, dry winters, my skin is already very dry and itchy, plus I’m terribly allergic to products with any perfumes. So I needed something that would turn my winterized scaley, dry skin back into human flesh without the perfumes that would send me into a sneezing fit and irritate my already irritated skin.

I had to try out many products before finally hitting the jackpot. Finding Aveeno’s fragrence-free line has saved me from many unseemly reactions. I find their Fragrance Free Skin Relief Moisturizing Lotion really hydrates my skin during the cold, dry winter days. I also really like that it’s not greasy or heavy.

Plus, the Aveeno products don’t cost a fortune, which might just be my favourite part of it all!

Aveeno® Skin Relief Moisturizing Cream has been clinically proven to provide long-lasting moisturization to relieve dry, flaky, itchy, cracked skin.  This breakthrough, patented formula with natural colloidal oatmeal, cocoa and shea butters, and cooling menthol provides intense moisture to help heal and protect itchy, extra dry, chapped skin.  This rich cream provides a non-greasy, protective barrier to help heal cracked skin and prevent future dryness -  leaving skin moisturized for 24 hours so skin feels softer and smoother all day long.  It’s even great on especially rough areas like heels, elbows and knees.

Viewer Review: “I too have adult acne”

mdforte.jpg

I have been trying to treat problem skin since I was 13 years old. Now that I am 40, I have finally gotten it under control.

I’d like to give a shout out to the DDF line. For adult pore problems, a glycolic acid based wash really helps. DDF’s is 7% glycolic acid, which isn’t bad, but I had better luck with a line called MD Forte. http://www.dermstore.com/product_Facial+Cleanser+I_263.htm

They have a 12% wash, which I would massage over dry skin, then gently rinse with warm water.

I also can’t say enough about Murad’s acne line. I give high points to the AHA/BHA Cleanser. It’s only for using a few times a week though. Their spot treatment really works, especially if you apply it often during the day as soon as you see a blemish.

Finally, the girl who does my facials, uses a line called Pevonia, and I use the SPF daily as a moisturizer under my make-up. It’s SPF 30, is light, and doesn’t cause breakouts.

Description: A gentle, creamy cleanser suitable for even the most sensitive skin. Exceptional at removing daily residue, makeup and oil to leave skin smooth and soft.

Recommended Use: Apply a quarter size amount and massage over skin. Rinse with warm water and a clean wash cloth, blot dry. Use morning and evening or as directed by a physician or skin care professional.
