Save your $$: COVERGIRLS’ Shadow Pots are a dud!

cgshadowpot

I’m ALL ABOUT saving $$ where you can, and buying affordable makeup. Some of my favorite lipsticks and mascaras cost less than $10! Every time I get a chance to tell you about a steal, I will! On the same hand, if I find that a drugstore product doesn’t work….I kind of feel like I should warn you!

I was sent two of COVERGIRL’S Shadow Pot’s to try out*, and I’ll be darned if those things barely show up! I applied layer after layer after layer of eyeshadow (at least 5) and above are the results. Can you see the shadow? Notsomuch!

They’re only $4 in stores, and I can see why. If you’re tempted to buy….just be warned….they don’t really show up all that well!

The Truth About Clear Skin
The truth is, breakouts can affect anyone – not just teens! In fact, adult acne affects 25% of adult men and 50% of adult women at some time.

According to dermatologist Dr. David Bank, the damage of the summer’s rays can cause blockage of the sebaceous oil glands, sometimes translating into breakouts during the fall season. (This makes year-round sunscreen even more important!)

Your healthy skin hall pass is knowing the truth about clear skin. Are you guilty of believing any of these myths?

· Blackheads are dirt.

· Breakouts and make-up are a bad combo.

· Pizza = pimples.

· Toothpaste can clear up acne.

Keep your hair hydrated with Pureology!

pureology827

Does your hair get dry during the summer? Mine sure does. It’s so annoying! It’s frizzy and goes nuts every year. I think it probably has something to do with the fact that I’m in my parents pool, constantly, submitting my hair to constant chlorine soakage. (I know it’s not a word.)

The people over at Pureology were kind enough to send me some product from their new Hydrate System*. I love the stuff! It smells minty and clean and makes your head tingle! I love the feeling of my hair after blow-drying it. It really makes a difference. I used these for about a week before I wrote this post, and I can say I’m hooked.

Gently cleanse and moisturize hair while protecting hair color vibrancy with this luxurious, concentrated daily hydrating system.
