SheaMoisture Teams up with CVS to Launch “First Aid” Medicated Soaps

I am hooked on the SheaMoisture Indian Hemp & Shea Butter soap. It really is a must have for sensitive skin. All 3 of my kdis have sensitive skin just like me and the youngest hast the most sensitive skin by far. If you even use regular soap on his skin, he is left with little bumps and dry itchy skin.

So I am always on the lookout for natural and affordable products to use on my kids. I have been using this soap on my kids for over 2 weeks and after the first few days my youngest son’s skin was back to soft velvety skin no bumps or dryness. This all-natural, hypoallergenic soap is great for sensitive skin and will relieve, soothe and moisturize while clearing stubborn inflammation. I love how well it lathers and doesn’t leave your skin feeling dry or coated just soft, smooth and clean.

SheaMoisture and CVS have teamed up to launch two “first aid” medicated soaps from SheaMoisture, a leading mass market natural beauty brand. Starting in late 2013/early 2014, 6,000 CVS stores will carry the two new hypoallergenic and dermatologist tested cleansing bars aimed at relieving eczema, psoriasis and inflammation-prone skin. The soaps won’t be available in the beauty section of the stores, but in the first aid section.

The soaps include:

  • African Black Soap Eczema & Psoriasis Therapy Medicated Soap – Made using a proprietary blend of African Black Soap and certified organic Shea Butter, the soap is clinically proven to relieve symptoms of eczema and psoriasis. It’s made in a traditional way, just as it’s been done for centuries in Africa. Leaves, cocoa pods, shea tree bark and plantains are burned to an ash, which gives the soap its naturally black color, with coconut oil and shea butter, combined to the mix. Other key ingredients include Aloe Vera, Lemon Balm, Sea Wrack, and Gotu Kola.

  • Indian Hemp & Shea Butter Inflammation Therapy Medicated Soap – This moisturizing bar soap is clinically proven to calm inflamed and irritated skin. It features a proprietary blend of Hemp Oil and certified organic Shea Butter — two ingredients known to moisturize skin and reduce inflammation. Specially formulated with Calendula Extract (a natural anti-inflammatory), Neem Oil (used in Ayurvedic medicine for its antifungal benefits) and Tea Tree Oil (reduces redness and has natural antibacterial properties).

The high percentage of fatty acid-rich Shea Butter in both soaps is ethically sourced from seven women’s coops in Northern Ghana. SheaMoisture works directly with the women to pay them above market prices for their shea butter. Each five ounce bar soap has a suggested retail price of $4.99. For more information, please visit

Just in time for Christmas comes bacon deodorant!

What do you get the bacon-lover for Christmas, who has it all? How about bacon deodorant??

J & D Foods has come out with a brand new product, a bacon-scented deodorant “for when you sweat like a pig,” because naturally, you’d like to smell like one too!

The company specialized in bacon-themed products like seasoning, popcorn, sunscreen, lip balm and more.

You’ll find this new product in their “Get Weird” section, and it sells for $9.99. Lucky you!

I went to a candy story in Boulder, Colorado, over the weekend, and there was a giant section of bacon-themed products. I just don’t understand. Don’t get me wrong, I love bacon, but I’m not obsessed with bacon. There were even Christmas stocking shaped as giant slices of bacon! What’s wrong with these people!

Winner Annouced: Dermasuri Contest

Congratulations to our winner #35 Jules, please watch your email inbox.

Have you read my review on this amazing exfoliating product, check it out here. Seriously the best exfoliator I have ever used, my skin is like buttah after using this magical little tool.

Well the awesome team at Dermasuri is letting me give one of these awesome mitts away, check out below to enter!

Miracle Mitt Brings Beauty Secrets from the East to West

Dermasuri Deep Exfoliating Mitt is a luxurious new beauty tool that visibly removes dead skin cells and rolls them off to reveal healthy, glowing skin instantaneously. Dermasuri, a name created from the word “derma” meaning skin and “suri” meaning scrub in Japanese, uses a unique fabric texture that provides the benefits of expensive spa services like microdermabrasion and scrub treatments at a fraction of the cost.

Originating from the traditional Hammams of Turkey and Morocco, Japanese and Korean baths, Dermasuri studied these ancient Eastern exfoliating secrets to develop a product that delivered the same result. Unlike loofahs or bath sponges, the mitt is made of an effective viscose material that can be used in the shower to deeply exfoliate, prep the skin for tanning or waxing, or as a dry-brushing tool.

Dermasuri Deep Exfoliating Mitt smoothes skin, stimulates collagen, improves circulation, reduces ingrown hairs and clogged pores, helps even skin tone and dullness, removes impurities and increases the absorption of skin care products making it one of the best skin exfoliators for the body.

Friends since childhood, the co-founders discovered that the commonalities of their soft, youthful looking skin led back to the traditions of their Middle Eastern and Japanese ancestry. After extensive international research and product testing, Dermasuri Deep Exfoliating Mitt was born.

Dermasuri Deep Exfoliating Mitts can be purchased for $19.99 each at
