Max Factor Signs Gwynnie.

Gwyneth Paltrow has a new beauty gig as the “creative inspiration” for Max Factor’s makeup artists. The Procter & Gamble Co.-owned makeup brand said Thursday that Paltrow will star in a six-month Max Factor campaign that launches in November, in which she’ll model looks created by the brand’s makeup artists to reflect the different aspects of her life.

The announcement comes hot on the heels of Paltrow signing as the ambassador for Hugo Boss’ new women’s fragrance, Boss Nuit Pour Femme, this summer. P&G also holds the license for Hugo Boss Fragrances, through its P&G Prestige arm. A spokeswoman for Max Factor said the firm’s relationship with Paltrow will be a “long-term” one. The upcoming campaign will span television spots, shot by Tom Munro, and a print campaign, lensed by Craig McDean, along with content on Max Factor’s Web site.

Pat McGrath, global creative design director for Max Factor, has curated the campaign. “I tasked 11 of our national makeup artists to create three glamour statements for Gwyneth,” said McGrath. “These were to be inspired by her life and the different roles she has to play — model, actress, mother, singer.” McGrath then took those ideas and created seven different looks, which will appear in the campaign. Each look will be based around three “hero” Max Factor products.

The campaign will launch globally, with the exception of Japan and North America, where the Max Factor brand isn’t present.


Heidi Klum Goes Pink!

Heidi Klum has accomplished so much since the start of her career that she may want to start following the mantra “never say never” — at least when it applies to her hair.

The 39-year-old supermodel debuted her Truly Scrumptious Collection” at Babies ‘R’ Us on Friday along with a freshly-dyed new hairstyle. The pink ombre ‘do was an interesting choice for a woman who vowed never to venture into rose-colored territory though. When asked back in May if she’d ever try the look, the recent divorcée told Stylelist that she was too old:

No, no way! It’s an age thing — if you’re a model and 19 or 20 or doing a photo shoot, it’s easy to pull off. It wouldn’t be age-appropriate for me, it would look weird and people would think I lost my marbles! But I would let my daughters try it!
We definitely don’t think anyone would accuse the “Project Runway” host of looking anything less than perfect with pink hair during her latest appearance. Plus, it’s nice to hear that even top models go back and forth when deciding about which hairstyles they can pull off. As for her daughters, they’ve already tried red lipstick, so matching mommy-daughter ombre hair may not be too far off.

Be Unapologetically Strong!

I love watching them handle different challenges and see their strength shine through. As mothers, entrepreneurs, daughters and wives I have learned so much from them. They have helped push me to challenge myself and do things  I didn’t think was possible.

My mother has always been Unapollegetically Strong, raising 4 wild kids, even homeschooling us all for a few years. I don’t remember her complaining just always taking care of everyone around her. She was always the first with  a hug, band aid or medicine before you knew you needed it she was there. Even at 35 there are times only my mom will do to chase away my pain and fears. As a mother myself I know understand how much time my mom sacrificed for our family and the strength it took to raise a family and be there for each one of us. I couldn’t ask for a better role model and hope my kids can look back on me with half the gratitude I feel for my mom.
