Valentine’s Day- DIY Beauty Scrubs, Masks and Baths.

Strawberry Scrub
To get your skin in tip top shape for the big day, what could be better than a homemade strawberry face and body scrub.
Ingredients:
2 pureed strawberries
1 tbsp of olive oil
1 tbsp of vegetable oil
1 tbsp of Vitamin E oil or pour out the liquid of 1 Vitamin E capsule.
2 tbsp of sugar
Mix all the ingredients together. In the shower, rub all over your body for a great exfoliating experience.

Raspberry honey face mask
The red raspberries contain loads of vitamin C which is essential for maintaining healthy clear glowing wrinkle free skin. The honey helps moisturize your skin because it contains natural moisturizers in it, and it helps fight acne and prevent it because it contains natural antibodies in it that kill the germs that cause the acne in the first place. The rolled oats help absorb unwanted oils and impurities from the skin while also lightly exfoliating it. These are the reasons why this is a beneficial facial mask for combination skin types.

Ingredients:
Mix 1/2-cup pureed raspberries
½ cup honey
½ cup rolled oats

Strawberry Acne Cleanser

Ingredients:
Strawberry yogurt or
1 strawberry
2 tbsp plain yogurt

Instructions:
Apply to skin in a circular motion for a minute or 2. Rinse with a warm cloth and water. Great for oily skin as well.

Rose and Honey Milk Bath

Ingredients:
1-1/2 cups whole milk
1/3 cup honey
5 drops rose essential oil
1 cup rose petals optional

Mix the milk, honey, and rose oil well. Add to a warm bath. Sprinkle the rose petals in the water and soak.

Amanda Seyfried Glamour’s March 2012 Cover Girl.

Amanda covers Glamour’s March 2012 issue in a floral top by Pierre Balmain, blue jeans by Hudson, and Candy Ice jewelry. Photography by Ellen Von Unwerth:

For the March issue, Amanda Seyfried sat down with writer Jada Yuan to talk about everything from making movies to making babies, and of course, a little chat about boys.

On whether Dominic Cooper was the last guy she loved:
“My God, yeah. He was my last real boyfriend. We still joke about having kids, like, ‘If it doesn’t work out with other people, we might as well just have a child.’ And there’s a part of that that feels … possible.”

Glamour: Have you been thinking at all about kids?

Amanda: Oh yeah, I think about kids all the time. I feel like the next person I commit to, that’s going to be the guy who I’m going to have kids with. That’s in my crazy female brain. So that’s why I’m like, “I can’t commit.”

Glamour: [After you broke up with Dom] You were mostly dating noncelebs. Was that hard?

Amanda: You learn very quickly what people are so enamored with, and it’s not necessarily me.

Glamour: It’s just the fame?

Amanda: I think it’s all the bullshit of the idea of someone who’s famous, which seems more exotic than the fact. You have to be careful whom you date, but I had a great time this summer.

Glamour: Are you going through the, how shall I say, “twenties slut” phase? [Laughs.]

Amanda: No! I’m terrified of being promiscuous. I don’t like the feeling you get when it’s not something that you truly want to do, and I hate the emotional abuse you give yourself afterward. It’s just uncomfortable when you’re with somebody and you’re like, “I don’t really know if I’m even comfortable with this. Why did I? Eww!” I think dating can come without sex.

Glamour: You are blowing some minds right now.

Amanda: I think that’s a really fun way to do it. Right now I’m happy to not have someone’s naked body around me. Except for my dog’s. [Laughs.]

Glamour: You have said you would never date your In Time costar Justin Timberlake. Why’s that?

Amanda: Oh, I think any female that meets him at first is like, “I want to date you.” He seems so perfect, but you get to know him, and he’s a good pal. He’ll tell you what he really feels. But, you know, he’s really famous, which has its downsides.

On if she feels competitive with other young actresses:
“Yeah, sometimes. But the funny thing is, the girls that I’m always up against for roles are pretty nice and cool, like Emma Watson. She’s awesome. She’s really funny and smart. And Carey Mulligan. It’s flattering to be up against her because she’s really good, and she’s cool too…I think the era of the diva actress is coming to an end.”

On watching Linda Lovelace’s Deep Throat:
“What surprised me is the amount of pubic hair! I’m pretty sure I would never do a full frontal in a movie – for personal reasons, I wouldn’t really want to show that.”

Ashley Greene’s Gorgeous “Louder Than Words” Look by mark Celebrity Makeup Artist Mai Quynh

Ashley Greene, mark Brand Ambassador and spokesperson for mark’s m.powerment campaign, kicked off February’s National Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month to celebrate the new Youth Advisory Board formed by m.powerment by mark at the “Louder Than Words” event at the Avalon in Los Angeles yesterday.

Below are mark’s Celebrity Makeup Artist Mai Quynh’s makeup tricks for creating Ashley’s gorgeous look.

Face:
”I began by applying mark Calm & Composed Super-Soothing Moisturizer all over Ashley’s face. After creating a clean, moisturized base, I used mark Primed for Perfection Face Primer. Then, I applied mark Min-A-Real Cream-To-Powder Foundation in Natural using the mark Foundation Brush. To take care of any imperfections, I used mark Good Riddance Hook Up Concealer in Light/Medium under Ashley’s eyes and around her nose.”

Cheeks:
“For a soft, healthy flush, I brushed on mark Just Pinched Instant Blush Tint in Cheeky using the mark Foundation Brush to the apples of Ashley’s cheeks. Then, I dusted mark Matte-Nificent Oil-Absorbing Powder in Buff/Natural to set the look. For an extra glow factor, I layered mark Good Glowing Custom Pick Powder Blush in Cameo Glo using the mark Blush + Bronzer Brush.”

Eyes:
“I prepped Ashley’s eyes with mark Please Hold Eye Primer in Light/Medium. Next, I applied mark Keep it Going Longwear Eyeliner & Shadow in Exposure to her eyelid, from her lash line to her crease using the mark Flat Eyeliner Brush. Then, I applied mark I-Mark Custom Pick Eye Shadow in Java to her crease, blending it outward. To begin lining Ashley’s eyes, I used mark Keep it Going Longwear Eyeliner & Shadow in Entourage along her top and bottom lash lines using the mark Flat Eyeliner Brush. I extended the liner upwards and outwards for a cat eye effect. I finished Ashley’s eyes with two coats of mark Lash All You Want High-Volume Mascara in Black to her top and bottom lashes.”

Lips:
“For Ashley’s lips, I used mark Lipclick Full Color Lipstick in Toasty and mark Pro Gloss Hook Up Lip Gloss in Swell to create a gorgeous, natural smile.”
