Jennifer Lawrence was announced last October as the new face of Dior. We’ve been waiting oh-so-patiently for our first look at the ad campaign, and today we’re getting our first look! Jennifer was tapped as the face of the Miss Dior handbag line.

This awards season, Jennifer has been wearing all Dior, including her baby pink Dior gown at last night’s Oscars. Some critics claim she looks too “girl next door” to represent Dior, but I don’t agree. I think she’s perfect.

INSPIRATION: “We kept it really chic and simple. Natalie’s hair had a Richard Avedon, 1960s feel. Her dress was empire waist, so her hair had that same 60s vibe. Kate Young, Natalie’s stylist, had sent me some pictures of ideas she had so we started with that for inspiration. Natalie said that from the front it looked like she’d cut her hair short, and then from the back you saw this beautiful French twist. She called it a fakeout short haircut, which she loved.”

TIPS/TECHNIQUE: “I used Living Proof Prime Style Extender while Natalie’s hair was still damp so that her style would last all night. Then I blew it dry with a round brush from YS Parks – a line of Japanese brushes that’s just unbelievable. I created a classic French twist, using bobby pins and teasing it a bit to give it a bit of a cushion. It wasn’t too high – it was a bit lower on her head, with a really beautiful shape in the back. Last, I used Hold Firm Hairspray to smooth it all down, get rid of any flyaways, and really give it that shiny, smooth, lacquered finish. The whole look – her hair and her dress – looked so chic and modern.”

Amy looked gorgeous last night. Her makeup was soft and fresh and perfectly complimented her Marchesa gown.

Makeup Artist Stephen Sollitto created a stunning look for Amy Adams, star of “The Master,” who was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture. The look perfectly complemented her “ballet pink” Marchesa gown.

FLAWLESS FACE:
· Sollitto prepped Adams’ skin using RèVive Moisture Serum Extreme ($350) to ensure the star’s skin remain moisturized throughout the red carpet and award show.
· Next, he applied Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 – Oil Free ($43) to give the skin a sheer hint of colour.
· To complete her flawless face and create a natural-looking glow, he applied Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Colour in Canyon ($24) to Amy’s cheek bones, followed by Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Colour in Oleander ($24) to the apples of her cheeks.

ENCHANTING EYES:
· Sollitto applied Laura Mercier Secret Concealer ($22) around Adams’ eye area to conceal imperfections.
· Next, he applied Laura Mercier Sateen Eye Colour in Sandstone ($22) to add a hint of natural colour.
· He then applied Laura Mercier Sequin Eye Colour in Twinkling Star ($22) to create depth and definition.
· Next, he blended Laura Mercier Sateen Eye Colour in Sable ($22) onto the top of her lids and under her bottom lashes.
· Sollitto lined Adams’ eyes using Dior Style Liner ($34) and applied Dior DiorShow Backstage Makeup Mascara ($25) to elongate her lashes.

LUXURIOUS LIPS:
· Sollitto applied Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Colour in Plum Orchid ($26) to the star’s lips, and then completed the look by applying Laura Mercier Lip Glacè in Raspberry ($24).

Marion Cotillard has been asked by Dior to design her own handbag. The French actress can be seen in this new behind-the-scenes video showing how the new bag – named the 360 Degree Bag – is coming along.

Naturally, it’s in French, but the subtitles tell us that Cotillard will be putting her own personal spin on the Lady Dior arm candy.

She explains in the three-minute video that she is ‘torn between a rock and roll type or something extremely simple’.

She goes on to say that she would like to put a ‘strong Dior symbol on it’, and that she ‘adores houndstooth’, quilting, knots and a big letter ‘O’.

The short documentary also shows Cotillard getting inspiration from trees, a number of catwalk shows and music.

‘It was, of course, completely natural that Marion Cotillard would go on to design her own bag, her personal Lady Dior, as modern as it is timeless’

A statement on Dior’s website read: ‘She has been the face of the Lady Dior bag since 2008, the epitome of a sophisticated and vibrant woman.

‘It was, of course, completely natural that Marion Cotillard would go on to design her own bag, her personal Lady Dior, as modern as it is timeless.’

The 37-year-old is loyal to Christian’s company by rarely being pictured wearing any other designer at red carpet events.
