GIVEAWAY: Do you know someone who needs to be blessed this Christmas?

Xmas_gifts_for_women

Erin and I are blessed to have a job that allows us an abundance of amazing beauty products. Products that we’d never pay for ourselves, products we can give to family and friends. We have been talking over the last week or so about wanting to share our goods with a couple of you.

We want to open this giveaway up to you guys. We would really love to send out a couple care packages this holiday season to women who could really use some encouragement. Do you know someone who has been down on their luck lately? Do you know someone who doesn’t get much for Christmas – but always provides for everyone around her? Do you know a woman who could use a little something special for Christmas? I think each of us know that one special person in our life who could just use something really wonderful….and that’s who we’re looking for.

We would love for you to nominate that person to receive a special beauty gift box from Make Her Up.

Here’s how to nominate your special woman:

In the comments below, please include: (You can also email your nominations to makeherup[at]hotmail.com

  • Your woman’s age (will help us determine which products to send)
  • How you know the woman
  • Why you feel this woman should receive the gift box
  • Please DO NOT include their name. We will reach out to you and get that info at the end.
  • YOUR CURRENT EMAIL ADDRESS

We will pick 2 women, an older woman and a younger woman (because of the product types).

We will send a boxed gift to your woman, and include your letter/comment that won them the gift.

We’ll give this a couple weeks, because we’d really like to choose the winner carefully.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

My sister will turn 50 in May. Like many people, she struggles with some health issues. The bills add up, so she makes allowances. She LOVES beauty products, but will only buy the ones she feels she must have. Honestly, this box would be an amazing surprise for her, one that most definitely will put a huge smile on her face. The beauty of the situation is that something so simple (yet generous)will give her great joy.

Thanks for considering.

I would like to nominate my beautiful mother! She is 51 and the most selfless person I know. I gave birth to my daughter on April 12th of this year and I suffered from severe postpartum depression. There is absolutely no way I could have gotten through it without her. She has said that just having a healthy and happy daughter/granddaughter is thanks enough for her but this would be such a nice gift to give to such an amazing woman! Thank you for the opportunity!

I would nominate my mother-in-law who will be 60 in June. She always does so much for our family and never asks for anything in return. She is retired and rarely buys things for herself, but always finds a way to get little things for my kids! She doesn’t get much for Christmas but always tries to find something special for everyone else. I would love for her to get something extra special this year for Christmas!

Thank you for the opportunity!

I’d like to nominate my 60 y.o. Mom who has recently retired from 37 years of teaching. She is the mother of 6 biological kids and 2 adopted kids. She raised my son while I went to college and is currently raising my 13 year old nephew, who she’s had custody of since he was 2. She had 4 other sisters and is the only one to live to 60 and gives of herself selfishly. She gives up her Tuesday nights to work with children and has always lived a life to help others. She’s amazing and as she is entering her first year of retirement, this gift would reinforce the idea that finally, finally she can take some time to focus on herself. She is truly beautiful inside and out.

I would like to nominate my mother. She is in her 60’s and is a retired teacher’s aide. She has worked for over 20 years helping other people’s children and she has taken a role as a second parent for my children. I am single parent with 2 kiddos on the Autism Spectrum and my mom has been my rock. Life is hard and I know we all face obstacles but my mom rocks! She has never been afraid to face any challenges and still finds a way to always smile and give of herself!! Mom’s are super heroes!

My sister is 38. She has two young children and works (1.5 hours from home) at a hospital dedicated to end of life patients. She counsels the dying as well as their families. She gives so much of herself to others. When she isn’t working or commuting she is spending time with her boys and her husband. When we were younger, you would never catch her “without her face on”. Now, her time and money go to others. She is a beautiful woman and deserves some pampering. Thank you.

Happy Holidays! I am nominating my Mother, who will be turning 56 this coming up January. She’s the type of person who is always thinking ahead and of others. She always gives and I hope to give her a special surprise in return. i know she loves beauty products but I am not an expertise in that field, so this box that MakeHerUp provides will blow her mind.

My sister who is 33 truly deserves to win because she is the most giving, sweetest person I have ever met. She literally has nothing because she cannot work due to severe social anxiety and depression. She can barely leave the house to walk her son to school. She feels so much guilt because she wants to do so much with her son but she cannot. My sister has the biggest heart and always has put others first. She lives so far away that we can only get to see her once a year, sometimes every other year because it costs so much for plane tickets. Her fiance has been looking for work for a long time and I am not lying when I tell you she has nothing. My sister is a great friend to me and it hurts me so much to see her hurting. I know this would put a smile on her face and that would mean the world to me.

I would like to nominate my 32-year-old daughter for your beauty box giveaway. We are blessed that she is still with us as she has almost died twice in the past two years. We have not exchanged gifts for four years as we are getting by on my social security disability pay and have major medical bills. First, in 2012-2013, she caught the flesh-eating virus, Necrotizing Fasciitis, in her right leg. The infectious control doctor at Florida Hospital East made a speedy diagnosis on a hard to diagnosis virus. She was in surgery within hours of me bringing her to the ER with a temp of 104.7. They not only saved her life, they saved her leg too. She was hospitalized for 3 months and had to learn how to walk again. She has major scars, but she still has that right leg. Then, on Oct. 1st of this year, after being sick and undiagnosed for months, I called 911 one night when her temp was 103.7 and she had been on antibiotics for pneumonia for a week and a half. She was diagnoses with blood infections in a bone in her back, on her lungs and on a heart valve. She was in ICU receiving major antibiotics in a medically induced coma for 28 days. She then spent another 19 days at an acute care facility to finish her antibiotic treatment and to be weaned from a tracheostomy tube. She did not require open-heart surgery for the heart valve hole, as was feared. God is keeping her here for a reason and we are truly grateful. She loves to make herself up, but I cannot afford the luxuries of make-up or perfumes. It would be a wonderful surprise and a moral booster for her to receive a beauty gift box. Thank you for considering her for your gracious giveaway. I love my only child dearly and would love to put a smile on her beatiful face this Christmas. Merry Christmas to you and yours and praying for a healthy, happy New Year! Thank you!

Not sure if it’s too late but i’d like to nominate my mom who is in her 50s. I believe she deserves this because she has been sick for the last 10 years and has been unable to work. She has had MRSA, and parasites and one horrible thing after another. She’s had 10 years of bad luck and has really lost herself both physically and mentally. She spent this last christmas alone in bed because she didnt feel well enough to get up. I think it would be great if she had some products to help her feel special and pampered.
