I was recently sent a Conair Curl Secret to try out for a few days and see what I thought. For this experiment I made my daughter the guinea pig and tried it out on her. This tool is completely different from anything I have ever tried so I read and reread the directions then gave it a whirl.

The unit itself was easy to operate and it was easy and painless to curl her hair. My daughter has very thick hair so it did take a bit of time to get it all curled. I think this is a great new tool but it will definitely work best for people with thinner hair.

The Pros: I like how the unit had a fail safe so you couldn’t rip your hair out. The unit itself is easy to hold an maneuver to create your curls. The unit has a time that beeps so no guessing how long to hold your hair in.

The Cons: This wasn’t anywhere near as fast as I hoped. You have to keep the sections pretty small so if you have a lot of hair it can take quite a bit of time.

A fun new option for curling your hair. If you are tired of curling irons and want something new check it out.

Seems pretty expensive for something that doesn’t work well
