Patti Stanger confesses that she has turned to plastic surgery to help boost her confidence in the dating scene. She helps others find true love on her Bravo show ‘Millionaire Matchmaker,’ but finding it herself took a bit longer.
“I had my first breast reduction and lift five years ago,” the 52-year-old tells this week’s issue of Life & Style. “Then I had another one. I felt skinny and young again!” Then in 2011, she went back in for a face-life, but, she recalls, “my doctor suggested an eye lift.” Afterward, she was a new woman: “I felt pretty and like I could go out, date and compete with all the young girls,” she says.
And it wasn’t long before Patti found her own man: mortgage broker David Krause. “When I met David, he thought I was younger than I was!” she raves of her tweaks. “He didn’t care, though, when he found out my real age.”
Plastic surgeries may have helped Patti’s confidence soar, but, she admits to Life & Style, it’s part of the business. “When you’re on TV, you have to do this. Anyone who says they don’t is lying.”
I guess whatever it takes to make a person feel better about themselves – is all that really matters. But it worries me when women go through such drastic measures to feel good about themselves.
