FitzyDesign Leather Jewellery & Other Cool Stuff
About FitzyDesign: In September of 2012 in an effort to bring more spontaneity to my practice, I began a 365 project. For this project I decided to make something new every single day for a year, and post them online. You can follow my progress at robinfitzsimons365.tumblr.com. As you will see the pieces run quite a wide range of media including drawings, graphic design, textiles, video, and a whole bunch of leather craft. Many of my daily pieces have been various styles of leather jewellery. After numerous comments from friends and fans who follow the blog, I decided to start selling my jewellery, and Fitzy was born.
Here at Fitzy I make leather jewellery and other cool stuff. All of these products are handcrafted by me, Robin Fitzsimons, in my Toronto studio using high quality materials that I source from Canadian and American manufactures wherever possible. Fitzy pieces are designed to last, and the patina of time will only make them more beautiful
If you are looking for beautiful handmade jewelry you need to check out the Etsy Shop FitzDesign. I recently ordered the Blue & Green Leather Pyramid Earrings as a gift and they are even more gorgeous in person. They come in a cute package ready for gift giving or to spoil your self. The shipping was quick which is great for a last minute person like myself.
The earrings are nice and light and look amazing without pulling on your ears. They look so gorgeous on, my recipient loved them so much she has worn them every day since. Next I am choosing something for myself I am just torn decided what piece I need first. If you are looking for unique bridesmaids gifts or something that will stand out for someone special be sure to check out this shop.
Blue & Green Leather Pyramid Earrings
These earrings are handmade with 8-9 oz. vegetable tanned leather, and solid copper earring wires. Each pair is made by me from start to finish in my Toronto studio. I use blue & green dyes to paint each pair in a watercolour style finish. Each earring is then cut out by hand, and I finish the edges with saddle soap.
Each earring measures approximately 1 7/8″ high, 1 1/2″ wide, and 1/8″ thick.
