Ouidad Holiday Hair Tips

The Holidays are upon us! Step up your style and be passionate about your curls by adding some pizzazz with the help of Ouidad Creative Director, Morgan Willhite. Start with a healthy curly hair foundation and create curls that scream sensation style.

Make Curls Behave This Holiday Season
The best way to make curls and unruly behave is to keep hair healthy; use a deep conditioning treatment on your hair every two weeks to “feed” your hair and keep it strong, shiny and healthy; the Ouidad Deep Treatments ($25) is ideal
Hydrated hair is the foundation and lifeline for curls; let your curls dry naturally, with no heating tools
The less you handle or play with your hair, the better off you are – don’t run fingers through it or touch it too much
Use the Ouidad Climate Control Heat and Humidity Gel ($22) and Moisture Lock Conditioner ($22); these products nourish your hair, tame frizz and smooth flyaway’s in any weather
Holiday Glam Curls
Begin by shampooing and conditioning your hair with the Ouidad Climate Control Defrizzing Shampoo ($18) and Conditioner ($20)
While the hair is still wet, spritz it with the Ouidad Botanical Boost ($16) to preserve the moisture
Dry slightly with a blow dryer on medium heat and set your hair with medium heat rollers
Morgan recommends Tourmaline Static Free Rollers
Set the top center row of the rollers going back all the way to the back of
the head, and the sides of the head down
When the rollers have cooled, remove them from the hair and apply the Ouidad Shine Glaze Serum ($20) to your palms and run your hands all over the set hair
Follow with a natural bristle brush and brush your hair gently for couple of minutes to relax the set
Using your fingers, part your hair in the center to allow the flow of the set (using a comb would cause the hair to fan out)
Yoou can also ad beautiful accessories to your curly hair for an extra touch of glam
Necklaces as headbands are always a nice touch

Rosie Huntington-Whitely: “I was a bit of an Ugly Betty when I was 15″

Rosie Huntington-Whitely insists that while she’s one of the hottest women on the planet right now – she wasn’t always beautiful. Apparently she’s just like everyone else, and had a bit of an ugly phase when she was 15.

Rosie claims she wasn’t always this beautiful: “I was a bit of an Ugly Betty when I was 15,” she says. There she was, a teenager on a farm in Devon, England, dreaming of the glamorous life in London, when she took an internship at a modeling agency, “getting coffee, lighting people’s cigarettes.” It wasn’t until she visited the agency months later and met a new agent that she booked her first job. Not So Ugly Rosie would turn up at castings “in trainers, with braids, a ton of makeup, plucked eyebrows.” Sigh. “I had braces.” The braces, and her baby fat, didn’t stick around. Huntington-Whiteley’s “transition” period happened at 18, when she moved to New York and quickly scored a Victoria’s Secret deal.

The Victoria’s Secret wings: About those mythical wings, she says, “I’d love to wear them for a fancy-dress party sometime. People assume I have wings hanging all over my house, but that,” she says reassuringly, “is not the case.” While the wings don’t exactly scream Steinem, “It’s still such a huge thing for a model.” She adds, “People kind of laugh about it and think it’s irrelevant, but I don’t know a girl in the world who would put those wings on and not feel, just for a split second, very special.”

She’s the new face of Burberry: “To be 21, working with Mario Testino and Christopher Bailey, it was a milestone moment,” she says. This past fall, her bodacious Burberry Body billboard was splashed all over venues as diverse as Herald Square in New York and the Musée d’Orsay in Paris (giving new meaning to impressionism). How many trenches does a Burberry campaign earn a girl, anyway? “I counted the other day; I have 12.” Based in L.A., where she lives with her boyfriend, action star Jason Statham, Huntington-Whiteley is navigating her next transition carefully. “It’s interesting coming from modeling, where women rule the industry, into one where there are so few great female parts and the competition is so much higher.”

Ironic runway walks: Now, though, Huntington-Whiteley has ascended to a level of celebrity where she can model ironically. At parties, she’s been known to rock a runway walk or two. “There’s always a moment when some great song comes on and everyone’s like, ‘Do the runway walk, Rosie!’ And you’re like, ‘No, no, no,’ and then you begrudgingly get up and do your thing.” But maybe she secretly loves it. “Yeah, it might be my little party trick. It always gets applause.”

So who feels sorry for Rosie? She went through an ugly phase at 15 (who didn’t).

“Breaking Dawn” Wedding Dress — Get It for $799!

Erin and I went to see ‘Twilight: Breaking Dawn’ last night – and one thing we both agreed on without a doubt was how stunning Bella’s wedding gown was. She looked phenomenal!

Now, you can get her dress – for only $799! That’s an amazing deal!

If you weren’t one of the millions of people who flocked to see “Breaking Dawn” this weekend, but still want to see Bella’s wedding dress, you’re in luck!

Alfred Angelo
unveiled his exclusive licensed replica of the Carolina Herrera gown today, which looks exactly like the one Kristen Stewart wears in the film.

The dress, which is marketed under the Twilight Bridal by Alfred Angelo label, will be available in sizes 0 to 30W in stores at $799 each. Click here to find out where to get one.

What do you think of the dress? We’re loving the intricate lace embellishments and daring cut-out back — but the front leaves us wanting more.

I think you should buy it. I promise not to tell anyone it’s from the Twilight line!

PS: Have you seen Breaking Dawn yet? We’re dying to know – what did you think? I thought it was pretty bad, really, but I still liked it. It’s cheesy and corny – and completely laughable…. but that’s why we love Twilight, isn’t it?
