Get a better shave with Pure Silk.

I really love the Pure Silk line from Barbasol,  the Dry Skin shave cream leaves my sensitive skin baby soft after shaving. Compared to other shave creams this stuff lasts forever such a great bargain for the price. The only trick is hiding it from my hubby who is always “borrowing” it to shave.

Achieve a long-lasting, clean shave:

· First things first, preparation is key! When the weather is cold; humidity levels are low, leaving skin dry and more easily irritated. In order to help prevent razor burn and shaving bumps, your best option is to prepare skin by moisturizing at least twelve hours in advance of your shave. Moisturizing right before you shave can dull your razor, leaving it full of lotion; therefore preventing you from getting a close shave. So, if you’re planning to shave in the morning, it’s best to apply a moisturizer the night before.
· Use a cooler water temperature while shaving. Hot water will remove even more moisture from skin, so be sure to leave shave cream on for at least 3-4 minutes before shaving. Shave cream moisturizes skin and softens hair so it’s easier to cut, and you won’t have to press hard with the razor. This helps to provide a nick-free shave.
· A definite shaving no-no. Do not stumble out of bed and head into the shower to shave. Your skin will be puffy from sleep and you’ll have stubble the same day. Wait at least 20 minutes before shaving. Use a shave cream such as Pure Silk Moisturizing Shave Cream in Plumeria to get the best results in the steamy environment of your shower.
· Remember to use a cream instead of gel. Unlike shave gels which tend to slide off legs in the wet, steamy environment of a shower, cream covers the desired shave area and adheres longer, enabling you to keep your shave prep on your legs for the duration of the shave. By being able to see the tracks of your razor you can help keep skin from becoming irritated.
