When I was about 6 or 7, my great-grandmother had a curling iron that you actually had to hold over a flame on her gas stove to heat!! I guess she didn’t realize how fine my hair was and there was a bit of scorched hair at first….omg! I remember how mad my mom was!
My first styling tool was a Conair Crimper when I was about 10 years old. I use to braid my hair a lot so this gave me the hair style that I wanted quicker.

I had a crimper!! OMG I loved that thing!! and I’d wear it to the way side…with my purple skinny jeans.
my first was one of those teenie tiny skinny barrel curling irons! What the heck? I love this and want to win!

my first styling tool was a curling iron, which i also used to straighten my hair before i knew flat irons existed.

The first styling tool I owned was a curling iron, but when I was young (5 or 6) my mom used her curlers to set my hair. She would roll my hair at night and I’d have to sleep on the hard plastic curlers.
My daughters favorite hair tool is the waver we have. She has long thick blonde hair down to her waist. She hates it to be confined in curlers or braids so the waver is perfect. My favorite hair tool as a kid was definitely the crimp-er…but I was an 80′s kid so no wonder.

My first styler was a curling iron. I wasn’t very good at fixing my hair so this was a great tool for me…just curled my hair and off I went.

My first love was definitely a crimper. I used that stupid thing all the time and definitely thought I looked awesome
Of course, that style will probably come back at some point!
My first was a giant curling iron that i LOVED but I used it so much it broke. Then i bought a small one like this one and the results were awesome. but it was cheap and doesn’t work any more
so winning this one would make me soooo happy!

I actually used my mom’s curling iron! Whenever I plugged it in, the lights in the bathroom would flicker… Unfortunately, it died eventually.
I LOVED my curling iron and Aqua Net hair spray…I created what I called “the tidal wave” with my bangs, everyone thought it was SO cool and it was so high you could see it popping up over the seats on the bus, lol.
My favorite toll has always been a curling iron. I have tried everything, Flat iron, blow dryer, hot curlers. I always go back to my trusty curling iron, plus I just love Bed Head products

My first tool was a curling iron. I used it so much i burned to poor thing out.
I was born in the 80′s so of course my first tool was a crimper
My first hair styling tool was a curling iron.
I thimk i had my first curly hair at 8 years old .
I rocked some crimped hair in the early 90′s. My first tool was a crimping iron and man, did I love it! As a matter of fact, I still have it hiding under my sink even though its probably been over a decade since i’ve used it.
Unfortunately, I used to use a criming iron when I was very little. Now my flat iron is my best friend, lol.
i never had either but wanted a crimper so i would borrow my friends….i have curly hair so a curling iron seemed repetitive
I was a total crimper user in my tweens then became a dedicated curling iron user in my teens. My hair was high and sprayed to statue stiff perfection with AquaNet. That’s my generation. Now I go for the curling iron for soft waves. Much better this way.
I used to have a crimper many MANY moons ago. Ah reminds me of the 80′s
My first curling iron took forever to heat up. I think it had a red dot that slowly turned brown to let you know it was hot and by hot I mean luke warm at best!
My first styling tool was the jumbo hair curlers. I would have to use salt water in order for it to work and hold up my hair.

My first hair tool was my mom
when i was little, she would braid my hair all over so when i undid them in the morning i had cute little crimps and waves!
Crimper all the way! I always wanted to have tight curls, but settled for the ’80s rocker look through my childhood.
LOL katie, my first hair tool was mom as well! My mom is awesome then and she is awesome now. I wonder if this tool here can do tight curls.
