What is your protection plan for incidental sun exposure?

Did you know that just a few minutes of incidental sun exposure continuously over the course of years can have dire effects on the way your skin looks and feels?

While practicing safe sunning at the beach is key, a whopping 80% of your lifetime sun exposure comes from daily activities. Just one year of unprotected daily sun exposure is like spending a week at the beach without sunscreen!

While summer is the most common time for recreational sun exposure, it is important not to lose sight of the incidental exposure that occurs during day-to-day activities like walking your dog or driving to work. Random exposure to UV rays can cause premature aging and wrinkles on your body, and can even lead to skin cancer.

Do you and your family SPF? Is it an everyday protection or just on long summer days in the sun?

We would love to hear your thoughts about summer sun protection come join us in the blogfrog Coffee Community and share your opinion. As a culture are we too obsessed with sunscreen or not protected enough?

  1. I love aveeno! Sunscreen is a great addition!

  2. I bought Aveeno sunscreen the other day, and I got a nifty little sample of this stuff. I love it!

I also recommend their 35spf face lotion. It makes my face feel SO soft and smooth, and I adore it. :)
