Jennifer Lopez named ‘World’s Most Beautiful Woman’ by People!

People Magazine has named Jennifer Lopez the World’s Most Beautiful Woman! The ‘American Idol’ judge opened up to the magazine about what it takes to be as beautiful as her. Not really, but kinda.

More from People:

Jennifer Lopez admits she loves glamming it up as a judge on American Idol or for her upcoming album, Love?.

But at home with husband Marc Anthony and their 3-year-old twins, Max and Emme, Lopez is a zero-makeup kind of mom. “That’s when I’m my happiest,” she says in this week’s exclusive cover story. “Just being able to touch my face and rub my eyes and put my fingers in my hair and not having to worry about messing it up. It’s so much better.”

From her skincare regimen to her grueling workouts and portion-controlled diet, Lopez says she makes a concerted effort to stay in top form. “The thing is, it’s part of my job,” says the singer, who ran a triathlon six months after she gave birth. “I don’t want anybody thinking it’s easy. It does take time and it’s hard work. HDTV wide-screen is nobody’s friend!”

Lopez, 41, also has learned valuable beauty tips over the years, and says daughter Emme is starting to prove she’s her mother’s child. “She is very girly-girl, just like me since I was very little. She loves for me to paint her nails,” Lopez says. “She lays out her clothes on the floor like I do with my stylist and she’s like, ‘This matches very good!’ ”

And what about son Max? “He wants to paint his nails too. Because for him, it’s just paint. He’s like, ‘I want the blue!’” Lopez says, laughing. “Then Marc is like, ‘Why are Max’s nails painted?!’ But he won’t sit still so it’s only like two nails.”

As for being called a “diva,” she says, “I kind of like it. We’ve kind of owned it now. But I certainly don’t like and I’ve never been a person who has what they call ‘diva behavior,’ which is something they tried to pin on me for a long time.”

Almay teams up their Brand Ambassador Kate Hudson to promote ‘Something Borrowed’!

Almay Brand Ambassador Kate Hudson plays the beautiful and vivacious Darcy in the new romantic comedy Something Borrowed, from Alcon Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures, opening nationwide May 6, 2011.  Living in New York City, Darcy has it all – a close circle of friends, including best friend Rachel, a gorgeous fiancé and enviable style.  With flawless makeup and effortlessly chic style, Darcy (like Kate!) is a girl worth borrowing from… and while fans of the movie can’t borrow Darcy’s friends or her fiancé, they can borrow her gorgeous beauty looks with tips, how-to videos and products from Almay.

Almay, Hudson and Warner. Bros. have teamed up to help consumers capture and recreate three of Kate’s favorite beauty looks from the film.  Fans can choose from her day look, which features luminous skin with intensified eye color, her night look, which includes a sultry, smoky eye, and her gorgeous, pulled together professional look, which can be created in just 5-minutes.

Almay has partnered with renowned makeup artist Daniel Martin to create exclusive how-to videos for Almay’s Facebook page that give step-by-step instructions and expert tips and tricks on how to successfully ‘borrow’ Kate’s looks from the movie.  The videos will launch on April 18th.  And beginning May 2nd, Almay will have dedicated displays in-store with product recommendations for each look, as well as instructional pamphlets for easy application.

Almay is also offering consumers the opportunity to not only look the part of Darcy, but enjoy a taste of the character’s lifestyle by giving one winner the ultimate beach weekend at the summertime hotspot where Darcy and her friends enjoy the summer — the Hamptons, New York. The sweepstakes will be held starting May 2nd on Almay’s Facebook page

Anti-Aging prep should begin in your 20′s!

Dr. Leonard Tachmes (Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who recently opened his own practice: Miami Beach Plastic Surgery Center & MedSpa) believes that anti-aging tips should be started in your 20’s for preventative measures and to create an anti-aging regimen. “When clients approach their 30’s, they really start to notice early signs of aging from small wrinkles to brown spots on their hands – one of the true age-tellers found on the body. It is never too soon to take measure to protect the skin and to preserve a youthful appearance.”

“With over 17 years of experience, I find that most of my clients are unaware of how sensitive the skin is on their hands – - the most exposed part of their body!”

Dr. Tachmes’ non-treatment anti-aging tips include:

1. Wear driving gloves – throughout the year, as early as your 20s…today’s suntan leads to tomorrow’s fine lines, wrinkles and age spots as cracked skin and small wrinkles are a result of exposure to cold weather elements

2. Wear cleaning gloves – penetrating your hands in extremely hot water containing bleaches, degreasers, soaps and anti-bacterial agents have chemicals that dry out the skin – try applying a nice balm to the hands before you clean in case water seeps inside and…the heat from the water can also be beneficial to penetration of product

3. Exfoliate your hands every week with an enriched, oil-based scrub once a week to allow even penetration of moisturizers

4. Apply SPF 30 (or higher) onto your hands just as you would to your face – everyday

5. Apply tint to car windows – even in the winter months, the sun’s rays still have UV rays that are equally damaging

6. Eliminate the practice of chewing cuticles (can cause loose, torn skin that will eventually crack) and cracking knuckles (can cause enlarged knuckles and increased wrinkles) when under pressure – find a non-aging solution that will not affect your skin’s appearance

Do you worry about your hands? I’m 33, and only thing I do regularly is moisturize. Maybe I need to step it up a bit!

The Hellcats actress bared it all for Allure’s annual Nude Issue.  Ashley said “I’ve always wanted to be sure my parents approve of what I do. Even with my tattoos, my mom went with me. The ‘believe’ tattoo is because my mom always told me to believe.”

Ashley’s ready to shed her Disney-child-actress image. “Being in this shoot was me saying, ‘I’m not just the young girl everybody thinks I am. I’m actually a woman,’” she told the magazine.

Big Scents Come in Small Packages

I love my Antica Farmacista reed diffuser! I put it out a week ago and forgot it was on my mantle, every time I walked in my house I thought gosh it smells so good in here lately. Duh! It was my amazing new diffuser, just the perfect amount of scent to lightly fragrance your room without overpowring.

Antic Farmacista has the perfect size diffuser for any room and a ton of great scents I love my Lemon, Verbena and Cedar. These are beautiful to display as they are too smell it would make a great Mother’s Day Gift!

It seems like we’re always hearing about new ways to make the most of small living spaces. The recession has certainly reminded people to minimize the clutter in their lives and focus on what’s truly important within their homes. Add to that the vast number of Americans who live in apartments, dorms or simply smaller spaces, and it can only mean one thing: we’re trading large for small. While you’re browsing for the latest in dual-purpose furniture for your cozy quarters though, don’t forget the simple things that will take it from a house to a home. The smallest things – like framed photos of loved ones, comfy pillows and that special scent wafting through the room – can make all the difference. But so many fragrances can overpower a small space, making it unpleasant to walk in the door.

Antica Farmacista Home Ambiance Diffusers, are a unique and beautiful way to fragrance and decorate your home. The delightful fragrances permeate the air through the bottles’ open neck and white birch reeds that are inserted to further diffuse the scent. Simply uncork the bottle and place the reed bundle into the neck. You can enhance the scent by inverting the reeds every few days or as desired. The fragrance will infuse the air and provide a lasting and beautiful scent without ever being overpowering

Antica scents: Acqua; Ala Moana; Champagne; Grapefruit; Green Fig; Lemon, Verbena & Cedar; Magnolia, Orchid & Mimosa; No. 11; Orange Blossom, Lilac & Jasmine; Sakura; Sandalwood Amber; Santorini; and Vanilla, Bourbon & Mandarin.
