Beyonce in controversial new photo shoot

Beyonce Knowles is in the middle of a controversy after darkening her skin, for a L’Officiel Paris campaign.

As a celebration of its 90th anniversary, French style magazine L’Officiel Paris is featuring the 29-year-old on its cover as a tribute to Nigerian human rights activist and musician Fela Kuti.

In what the magazine calls, “a return to her African roots,” Beyonce’s face “was voluntarily darkened” for the shoot.

First of all I want to say I am a dark skinned person and most of my life people have told me I am pretty to be a dark-skinned person and I always said “do that suppose to make me feel better”? But no it don’t because people are really telling me I suppose to be ugly because I am dark. Now with this picture she is portraying something she is not and that is dark-skinned. I have seen alot of pretty dark women in magazines so why not get them to do the shoot Beyonce is a light-skinned women and that’s how you are used to seeing her so why make her something she’s not and she does not look right dark-skinned let’s be for real. But in all fairness if i was to put on make up to make me look lighter trust me I would be ugly because people are use to me being a nice looking dark-skinned lady. So I’m not mad at her maybe she wanted to see how she looked dark-skinned but no please don’t do that again let a dark-skinned pretty person do this, Beyonce is fine the skin color she is don’t darken her skin. I think readers want natural skin color and that is not happening and now it’s like controversy and I know she don’t like that kind of spotlight. Still love ya B but it aint cool!
