The secret to flawless skin!

Perfect skin is something on everyone’s wish list, but thanks to makeup artist Pat McGrath’s tricks (via Allure Magazine) on the fall runways (such as at the Louis Vuitton show, above), a new, insanely flawless complexion is not only the trend for fall—it’s attainable by everyone. Try it with these tips that McGrath shared with Allure (for more, see the September issue, on newsstands now):

Prep. Exfoliate and moisturize before you even look at your foundation—massaging moisturizer into your skin will help get the blood flowing.

Get the right base.
During the Fall 2010, makeup artist Pat McGrath used only liquid and cream foundations. We recommend Laura Mercier Creme Smooth Foundation for complete coverage. Before you apply it to your face, put the foundation in your hands to warm it up and swipe over any discolorations—including any redness on your ears.

Conceal. Less is more here. McGrath recommends a matte concealer under the eyes and around the nose, and a creamy one (we like Cover Girl & Olay Simply Ageless Concealer) on drier skin—both applied in little dots on each spot with a pointed brush and then blended with fingers.

Highlight. For ultra-glowing skin, apply highlighter that matches the color of your skin in nine places (yes, nine!) with your fingers and blended softly: cheekbones, bridge of the nose, inner corners of the eyes, Cupid’s bow, and the chin.

Mattify. To ensure skin glows rather than reflects light like a disco ball, gently dab the entire face with a tissue, and dust powder over the t-zone.

Check out Britney Spears’ commercial for her new fragrance, Radiance

Britney Spears and perfumer Elizabeth Arden have joined forces again to release her newest fragrance “Radiance”. This is Britney’s 9th fragrance to hit the market.

The singer is known for her magic touch when it comes to fragrances, proving her creations to be Elizabeth Arden’s highest-grossing celebrity fragrances. This time, Britney puts her ultra-feminine taste to work. Radiance contains wild berries and soft dewy petals as its top notes, also tuberose, jasmine, orange flower and iris. If you need a reference, remember Brit’s “Curious” fragrance? Radiance bears a similar light musk scent to Curious.

The new fragrance will be available in a 50ml and 100ml sizes, each priced at $63 and $78. Look out for Radiance at The Bay, Sears and other stores this September.

Hollywood’s Emmy Must-Have!

The Emmys had all of your favorite celebrities  gearing up to strut their stuff. Their secret to lasting all night in killer heels – the Foot Petals Red Carpet Kit!

This kit includes:
¦ 1 pair Black Killer Kushionz
¦ 1 pair Red Rose-Scented Killer Kushionz
¦ 4 pairs Black Tip Toes ball-of-foot cushions
¦ 3 pairs Red Rose-Scented Heart-Shaped Tip Toes
¦ 4 pairs Black Strappy Strips in tube

Some helpful tips from Tina Aldatz, certified pedorthist and creator of Foot Petals:
¦ Practice makes perfect! Walking properly is key to looking great & keeping your feet in top shape. Concentrate on stepping “heel to toe” – or placing the weight on your heel first, then rolling forward onto the ball of foot. This may seem like common knowledge, but it’s often overlooked.
¦ Double up on cushions! Ball of foot cushions help to absorb shock (the Tip Toes are great for this).
¦ Flex your feet periodically to prevent muscle cramps in the calves.

Celebrity stylists Cristina Ehrlich and Jessica Paster have called in Foot Petals for Toni Collette, Kyra Sedgwick, Jenna Fischer, Christina Applegate, Dakota Fanning, Emily Blunt, Aubrey Plaza and Jane Adams.

Join them in flaunting your heels ($49.95 at www.footpetals.com)!

Nicole Richie goes back to blonde!

After being a brunette for quite some time, Nicole Richie has gone back to blonde!

“Last night we played Clueless,” she wrote on her website. Colorist George Papanikolas took Nicole from a chocolate brown hue to the lighter shade shown here. “Usually I recommend doing a transition from dark hair to light blond hair over the course of a few months to maintain the dignity of the hair,” he says. “But Nicole was over being a brunette, and was determined to be a blonde, so instead we did it over the course of a week with several sessions.”

Thinking of making a similarly drastic change? George says that deep-conditioning is a must (he recommends Joico K-Pak Deep Penetrating Reconstructor, $19) throughout the process.
