Last Friday, The Fragrance Foundation revealed the top five finalists in each category of the 2010 FiFi® Awards, considered the “Oscars” of the fragrance world. Superstar brands Calvin Klein, D & G, Diesel, Gucci, Marc Jacobs, Shiseido, and YSL are among the Luxe finalists, while Nouveau Niche brands Bond No 9, Brooks Brothers, Issey Miyake, Jo Malone, and Narciso Rodriguez made the cut in their category. Winners will be announced on June 10th.

Fragrance fans nationwide can weigh in by voting for their favorites. Voting opens on Wednesday, April 28th and continues through Wednesday, May 19th.

I am a huge Mama Mio fan and was just sent a sample of their latest product  Lucky Legs and I am in love all over again. R&B singer Akon has filed a lawsuit against his former business partners alleging they used his name for a new perfume without permission.

The Grammy-nominee and founder of record label Konvict Muzik was recently in talks with fragrance developers to create his own scent, reports the New York Daily News.

However, according to documents filed in Manhattan Federal Court on Friday, the Smack That star was stunned when perfume executives formed Konvict Cosmetics International and started selling a scent called Konvict without his approval. Akon is demanding the company ceases production.

Representatives from Konvict Cosmetics had not responded to requests for comment as WENN went to press.

Hayden Panettiere showed up for an Earth Day event sporting a new pixie cut. She definitely isn’t afraid of change she has had so many hair changes in the last few years its hard to keep up. While I do think a pixie cut is a great look for a petite girl its a little hard to see the cut with her swept back hairstyle, it almost looks choppy.
