Invasion of the Smurfs!

I am not sure when the Surf revival started but I have noticed old Smurf episodes on Comcast cable. And last week I saw Smurfs stuffed toys at Target and now Smurf makeup! I was a big Smurf fan for the time I was allowed to watch it (my mom deemed that Gargamel and Azreal were not good influences and Smurfs got banned) and had a few Smurfette toys.

I love that I  get to relive all the shows I loved as a kid as they make their comeback. But when I think of Smurfs and makeup, Mimi from the Drew Carey show pops to mind. Luckily the masterminds at Too Faced mixed Smurfs and makeup without making it too Mimi. The colors are fun and cute and who doesn’t love the nostalgia of seeing Smurfette on their compact?
