My Review: Ouidad

I recently had the pleasure of trying some amazing products from Ouidad, the first products from the brand that I’ve tried.  I’ve been dying to try them, and I was so excited to get my hands on two of their great products!  I loved them both equally, and I’m so glad to have them in my stash!

First I tried Ouidad Climate Control Gel.  Winner of Allure’s “Best Defrizzer, Editor’s Choice Award” 1999, this is a revolutionary design in styling gels. Climate Control protects curls from humidity by absorbing moisture from air to hydrate each strand of hair and help prevent frizz. Great for using in place of Tress F/X by all hair types in humid conditions, summer or winter. Winner of “Best Defrizzer” by Allure Magazine.

Climate Control Gel contains special European wheat resin, vitamins, and plant extracts are activated by heat and humidity to tame, smooth, and control curly, unruly hair leaving it soft, manageable and full of shine. Excellent at protecting hair from blow-dryer heat when a straight style is required. Apply to palm of hand and work evenly through moist hair. Do not rinse out. Set or style hair as usual. Protects hair from blow-dryer heat.

Tips: When applying, begin by raking fingers through underneath layers of hair first. Then, beginning at the crown, rake downward towards the ends, and lastly rake from the temple and forehead to the crown. This will ensure complete coverage and help prevent the under layers of hair from stacking out when dry.

Second (and my favorite of the two) I tried Ouidad Botanical Boost Leave-in Conditioner!  Winner of Allure’s “Best Conditioner, Editor’s Choice Award” 2001,  this is a lightweight, leave-in conditioner that seals in moisture and provides strands with nourishing vitamins and aloe vera; one of the oldest healing agents. Used anytime on wet or dry hair to revive and refresh curls and calm frizzies. Botanical Boost is Ouidad’s most versatile conditioner.

Ouidad Botanical Boost is a spray-in, leave-in conditioner that gives an instant boost to your hair’s health. Botanical Boost instantly detangles and refreshes hair. Amino acids, vitamins, and botanical extracts stimulate and moisturize even dry and brittle hair, restoring shine and luster. Contains no oils or waxes to weigh hair down. Won’t overcondition oily hair. Broad-spectrum sunscreens defend and protect hair from sun. Botanical Boost increases hair flexibility and elasticity to help prevent breakage. To give hair a botanical boost anytime, spray evenly and sparingly over entire head. Concentrate a little extra on ends. Comb through, leave in, and style as usual.

Tips: Spray in after shampooing for extra detangling and moisture before applying Tress F/X. Use mid-day as a hair pick-me-up to calm frizzies and regain styling control.

Perfect at the beach or before workouts or swimming to nourish and protect hair.
