Skin That’s Fit for a Prom Queen

Check out some great tips from our friends at Clean & Clear and Celeb makeup artist Annie Maniscalco.

We know how many months, days and hours go into planning and prepping for Prom. The last thing you want is a last-minute zit or an oily complexion to spoil your night. Fear not –these products from CLEAN & CLEAR will prep your skin for prom and keep it looking flawless all throughout the night.

We had the chance to chat with Annie Maniscalco, celebrity make-up artist to some of today’s biggest teen stars, to get her skincare advice on how to look your best on Prom night.

Check out her answers below!

Q: What can I do to make the most out of the few weeks before prom to get my skin clearer and smoother?

A: I’ve found it’s all about using the right combination of cleansing and moisturizing products that treat and protect skin so my clients’ natural beauty can shine through. For acne-prone skin, I love the Clean & Clear Acne Control Kit for its easy, step-by-step line consisting of a cleanser, moisturizer and spot treatment that doesn’t over-irritate skin.

Q: If I’m stuck going to Prom with an ugly pimple, I at least want to conceal is as best I can. What can I do to make it as unnoticeable as possible?

A: For a last minute, quick-fix to cover a pesky zit, I swear by the Clean & Clear Invisible Acne Patch. It forms a smooth barrier over the zit that begins working on contact to reduce inflammation so that you can apply make-up right over it.

Q: How to I get rid of the dreaded mid day shine that creeps up on my T zone a few hours after make-up application?

A: For a quick fix to combat shine on the T zone, I give my clients blotting sheets. They work really well to absorb excess shine and they are compact enough to fit in a small purse for on-the-go use. Try the Clean & Clear Morning Burst Oil Absorbing Sheets to blot away excess oil without smudging make-up.

Q: It’s the night before prom and sure enough, I see a pimple starting to form! How do I deal?

A: Just dab on the Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment before bed. This product is clinically shown to reduce the swelling, size and redness of blemishes in just eight hours. I’m continually floored by the fantastic results when my clients walk in the next morning.

I swear by the invisible acne patch. Treat it and then cover it up, nothing works better!

Loved “Pretty in Pink” and how she put that dress together herself.

Think your idea of using cleanser and toner regularly to help get skin in good condition is great – it certainly has worked for me – though I wouldn’t want to try changing products shortly before prom, just in case your skin isn’t happy with them.

I loved that movie, in fact I am going to see if I can see it online.
