Reader Request: Recommendations for a brick red/sheer lipstick?

We recently received an email from Sarah, asking for help finding a new lipstick!  So let’s see if we can help her out!

Hello Make Her Up,

I’m wondering if you have any recommendations on good, deep brick red lipstick. I’ve bought several, and they all seem to be a bit purple/cold — I’m looking for a warmer shade! It seems like most of lipstick brands don’t carry this… and it’s so flattering! My ideal shade would also be a bit sheer. :)

Thank you!

Well Sarah, I’ve found three for you to take a look at!  When I’m shopping for lipstick, I always turn to MAC.  I haven’t found a lipstick yet that lasts longer, looks better, or feels better.

MAC Lipstick: Colour plus texture for the lips. Stands out on the runway. Simmers on the street! What made M·A·C famous.

Check out these three colors I’ve chosen for you – let me know if you like any of them!

You can find MAC at most high-end stores, such as Macy’s or Nordstroms.  If you don’t have any near you, you can go here to purchase these online!

$14.00

UPDATE: Here’s a response from Sarah!

Thanks so much – I’ll def hit up the Mac store this weekend and let you know how it goes!

Have a good weekend!

Origins has a nice warm red with just a hint of sparkle, it’s called Amaryllis. They also tend to be more creamy and sheer than thick and matte.
