Elizabeth Arden Intervene Foundation Review: Before & After

mhu-040.JPG

Ok for starters I can say it is not fun to put a picture of yourself without makeup online. I always thought I looked ok without makeup but my before picture scares me! Now I have NEVER liked liquid foundation and I have tried too many brands to count. I have dabbled in everything from the high end liquid foundations and tinted moisturizers all the way down to the drugstore brands. No matter what I try my skin feels like it is suffocating and most liquid foundations feel so heavy and overdone.

I have fallen in love with Intervene foundation. I decided to try it just for the sake of reviewing it and to let our readers know how it works but I can honestly say since the first day I tried it I have not gone back to my powder compact foundation. This goes on so smooth it’s like a dream and it is lighter than anything I have ever tried. My skin tends to look a little red and uneven and this left my skin looking like I was genetically blessed with perfect skin.

My skin looks just as perfect when I wash my face at night as it did in the morning. On top of how fabulous your skin looks and feels it also has Biodorminy technology which delays the appearance of wrinkles and micro-mineral technology which will smooth and even the complexion.

Hi Erin, looks very nice this foundation but you say it’s ideal for normal skin. I would like to know what you suggest for mixte/oil skin
Tks,
Fran

Fran,

My skin tends to get really oily in the T zone and I noticed it didn’t get quite as shiny when I was using Intervene. If you find you need a little extra help a product I like is Cosmedicine’s Medi-Matte Oil control Lotion just apply it before your foundation and it will help control the oil. http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P131811&categoryId=B70

Does this foundation ‘feel’ like it’s going to wipe off on your clothes or other people? Or does it ‘set’ after a few minutes?
Thanks! Charyl

No that’s what I love about it. In less than 2 minutes it is totally set and has to be washed off with soap. It doesn’t leave any marks on your clothing either which is a big benefit.

I love the color you’re wearing in the intervene makeup. What is the color shade?
