Viewer Review: Zeno Pro Acne Clearing Device

Thanks Katie for your honest review.

I have to tell you, I really wanted to love this product. I wanted it to work. Zeno is a hand held, battery charged acne clearing device that uses controlled heat applied directly to the blemish to kill the underlying bacteria. It certainly looks sleek, coming in either teal or hot pink and is about the size of a cell phone. After the initial 6 hour charge session to get it started, it takes just about a minute to heat up and beeps to let you know when to start and stop applying. A metal tip on the top device goes directly on your problem area. It felt soothing, and leaves the spot red for about an hour. Unfortunately, I saw no change in my blemish, despite the promise on the box that my pimple would be gone in 24-48 hours. The description informs that it is best for those underground pimples, the kind you can feel coming on before you see them. That is exactly what I had, a burgeoning bump under the skin with no head and no discoloration. I kept the product and tried it twice a day as directed for five days, and after seeing no change I returned it. The great thing about it is that Sephora (where I buy all my beauty must haves!) lets you return it, even used, as long you have all the components and the receipt within thirty days, and the company itself will give you your money back within thirty days if you mail it back. Everyone’s skin is different, so you may want to try it-after all, you CAN get your money back if you don’t like. It is pricey though, and it warns on the inside brochure that it does not treat cystic acne, blackheads, or whiteheads, so consider your primary reason for needing it before purchasing. I have learned my lesson though-there is no miracle cure for pimples. Sometimes you just have to wait it out.

It looks so cute in pink! Thanks for your review. I want to try Zeno, and I’ve heard good reviews about it, but I’m skeptical, so I haven’t bothered to buy it, especially because of the price! But that’s good that you can return it to Sephora if it doesn’t work.
