Viewer Review: Stila Smudge Pot’s!

stila.jpg

This site is going to be the death of my bank account. I popped out to Sephora to scope out some of the rec’s I’ve read about. (The Diorshow Mascara-thumbs up, and the Two Faced lip plumper-cool but weird!) The sales girl at the Bare Escentuals sold me on Stila Smudge Pots for eye liner.

I was nervous to put it on myself, but it really does apply well; you have about 60-90 seconds to “smudge” it if you want that look, then it’s there for keeps until you use make-up remover. I used a small lip brush like she did, but I might like it better thinner with a very thin liner brush.

Smudge Pots are unique gel eyeliners and shadows in one. The innovative and spunky alternative to traditional powder and liquid formulas, this clever little gel has an inky intensity that leaves powder shadows in the dust. The glass jar and airtight lid keeps the gel soft and pliable.

I got it in brown and it’s dark enough. The other colors are on my list for sure.

I bought the Dior DiorShow Unlimited Mascara (with the curved smaller brush), do you know how it compares to the DiorShow with the fatter brush? I like the unlimited, but I was worried the runway one would be too much for work.

The Diorshow Unlimited is a lengthening mascara, so the brush is designed to make your lashes longer. The DiosShow regular is a volumizing mascara, so the brush is desiged to make your lashes fuller. They are both the same mascara formula, so it depends on what you want it to do. If you have sparse lashes, I recommend the DiorShow, but if you already have full lashes and just want them to look longer and natural, the Unlimited is a good choice. Both are great mascaras!
